The Axis of Resistance Has Won. The Great Satan Has Been Brought to Its Knees.
Iranians in the capital city of Tehran, celebrate Iran’s victory in the American-Zionist-imposed war following the announcement of a two-week ceasefire.
Congratulations to the Islamic Republic of Iran, the IRGC, and the entire Axis of Resistance. You have done what empires always insist is impossible. You resisted. And you conquered the peak.
As the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, told us: "If you resist, you will CONQUER THE PEAK." Today, the Iranian people are celebrating in the streets of Tehran. We are celebrating with them from the South Bronx.
The facts are not in dispute. After over forty days of war imposed by the U.S.-Zionist axis, the Islamic Republic of Iran stands with its ballistic missile program intact, its enriched uranium secured, its government in power, and its revolutionary leadership unbroken. The United States, the self-proclaimed greatest military power in human history, has been forced to the negotiating table in Islamabad, accepting Iran's 10-point framework as the basis for talks. Among those points: regulated passage through the Strait of Hormuz under Iranian coordination, the end of war against the Axis of Resistance, withdrawal of U.S. combat forces from regional bases, lifting of all sanctions, release of all frozen Iranian assets, and binding UN Security Council enforcement of every single one of these gains.
Iran now controls the Strait of Hormuz, the single most strategically important waterway on the planet, through which 20% of the world's oil supply flows. This is not a symbolic achievement. This is a nation-altering, region-reshaping, decades-long strategic victory. Great Satan played its military card. It failed. Iran's leverage only grew.
From the hoods of the Bronx, we have always known that the same empire that wages genocidal sanctions against Iran, that funds the IOF to massacre Palestinian children, is the same empire that lets our NYCHA buildings crumble, that floods our communities with cops instead of resources, that displaces our families block by block while billionaires build luxury towers in our borough. These are not separate systems. They are one system: racial capitalism and imperialism, with one ruling class extracting from us all.
The defeat of U.S. imperialism in West Asia is a victory for the Bronx. Every blow to Great Satan weakens its capacity to colonize us at home. This is proletarian internationalism. This is what it means to be anti-war: not begging the empire for restraint, but celebrating when the people defeat it.
Long live the Islamic Republic of Iran. Long live the Axis of Resistance. Honor to the martyrs. The Epstein class surrenders. The people win.

COMPANION PIECE: WHY BRONX ANTI-WAR STANDS WITH IRAN
We Are the Same People, Targeted by the Same Enemy
Some will ask why a working-class, Black and Brown organization rooted in the South Bronx stands in unconditional solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran. The answer is straightforward: we have the same enemy.
The United States government has waged decades of genocidal economic warfare against the Iranian people. Sanctions designed not to change government behavior, but to starve a population into submission and manufacture the conditions for regime change. These are not humanitarian measures. They are weapons. The same political class that voted for those sanctions also voted to defund public housing, to militarize our police, to let our children breathe the asthma-inducing pollution of Mott Haven and Port Morris, to gentrify and displace working-class Bronxites generation after generation. The imperial project is continuous. It does not stop at the water's edge.
Bronx Antiwar practices proletarian internationalism. Our liberation is materially connected to the liberation of every people fighting U.S. imperial domination. When Iran resists, it weakens the empire's capacity to dominate everywhere, including here. When the Axis of Resistance holds, it shortens the timeline to our own freedom. International solidarity is not charity. It is strategic.
We also reject the propaganda framework constructed to make solidarity with Iran feel impossible for people on the left. The same media that told us Iraq had weapons of mass destruction is now telling us Iran is the aggressor. The same government that uses women's rights and LGBTQ rights to sell sanctions and bombs, pinkwashing and feminism-washing imperialism, is the government that has done nothing for Black women, trans people of color, or working-class communities in this country. We do not take our political cues from them.
Our responsibility as an organization inside the imperial core is not to police Iran's internal contradictions. It is to fight the empire that is trying to destroy Iran from the outside. That is what anti-imperialism requires. That is what we do.
The Axis of Resistance is global. It runs through Gaza and through the South Bronx. Bronx Antiwar has always known this. Today's victory for the Iranian people is a victory for all of us.
